“And the king said to her, “What do you wish, Queen Esther? What is your request? It shall be given to you—up to half the kingdom!” ” Esther 5:3 (NKJV)
All the Jews as well as all of Esther’s attendants fasted and prayed for three days. They asked God to open the way for Esther to talk with King Ahasuerus. At the end of the three days, Esther put on her royal robes and bravely went to the inner court of the king’s palace.
When the king saw Esther, he was happy to see her. He held out his golden scepter to her as a sign that she was welcome to come and talk with him. God answers prayers!!! Esther found favor with the king even to the point where he was willing to provide her whatever she asked for, even up to half of the kingdom.
I believe that God helped her know what to say next because I sure wouldn’t have come up with the plan that Esther laid out. She said that she had prepared a banquet and asked that the king and Haman come and eat with her. The king was pleased and told Haman to hurry up and get ready to go eat!
Oh that I would have such a close relationship with God that I could have Him put words in my mouth to say, just at the right time to be a blessing to God.
