“And you shall be holy to Me, for I the LORD am holy, and have separated you from the peoples, that you should be Mine.” Leviticus 20:26 (NKJV)
God has made a difference between His people and the rest of the world. It is a way to distinguish that His people belong to God. If others are to look at me, would they see any significant differences between me and the world? Have I blended in so much with those around me that God’s influence in my life can’t be seen?
Note though, that God is the one who separates us from the peoples of the world. We have a choice of cooperating with God or going along with the world, but we can’t do the separating on our own.
God is holy and praise God that when we are covered with Christ’s righteousness we are seen by God as holy.
