Search and Seek Mission

“I applied my heart to know,
To search and seek out wisdom and the reason of things,
To know the wickedness of folly,
Even of foolishness and madness.” Ecclesiastes 7:25 (NKJV)

It is my mission to search and seek out wisdom and why things happen. I want to recognize that wickedness is foolishness! I need to agree that God’s truth is trustworthy.

The Hebrew word used that is translated here as “applied” means to turn about or turn around, turn aside, or change direction. I deliberately change direction from what I planned to do and turn back to following God’s plan. I intently search and seek out God’s wisdom and why things happen the way they do. I look at my actions, thoughts, motives and test them against the written Word of God to see if there is any wickedness or folly behind what my plans are. When the Holy Spirit convicts me that what I had planned to do is wickedness and folly, my mission is to accept the prompting of the Holy Spirit immediately and turn 180 degrees and return to God’s plan. I know that God’s plans are always for my best. His plans are always trustworthy.

It is my prayer that I will submit my plans to the Holy Spirit’s leading each moment of each day because I want to search for God’s plan each and every moment of each day and to seek His face. I want to be faithful and true to God in all that I say and do.
