“Then the woman ran in haste and told her husband, and said to him, “Look, the Man who came to me the other day has just now appeared to me!” ” Judges 13:10 (NKJV)
What was the first thing that Manoah’s wife did? She RAN to tell her husband! Just a little excited? Definitely!!! She believed the Angel of the Lord’s message.
What did Manoah do? He went to where his wife had seen the Angel of the Lord. He found him and asked if he had indeed told his wife that she was going to have a baby. When everything was confirmed, his response was: “Manoah said, “Now let Your words come to pass! What will be the boy’s rule of life, and his work?” ” Judges 13:12 (NKJV) That takes faith.
The Angel of the Lord repeated the instructions he had previously given to Manoah’s wife. Manoah was so grateful that he asked the Angel of the Lord to stick around so that a goat could be prepared for a special meal. Long story, short is that Manoah and his wife realized that the special visitor was the Angel of the Lord and he told his wife that he expected to die because they had seen God (Judges 13:22).
God cares so much for each one of us. In this story, the Angel of the Lord came in person to share the good news of a baby boy to be born to a husband and wife who were childless. Each person is just that important to God. The birth of the baby boy for Manoah and his wife is no more of a miracle than what God wants to do for you and me today. What miracle do you want to ask God for?
