O Worship the Lord
O Worship the Lord

O Worship the Lord

“Listen, O daughter, Consider and incline your ear;
Forget your own people also, and your father’s house; So the King will greatly desire your beauty; Because He is your Lord, worship Him.” Psalm 45:10-11 (NKJV)

In the version I was reading these verses from, they are under the “heading” of the Glories of the Messiah and His Bride. This chapter gives praise to God for how He has worked through the King (David). God hates wickedness and loves righteousness. We are to worship Him with gladness.

God’s people are the bride of Christ. He is to be our focus rather than earthly systems and governments. Our beauty only comes from spending time with God through Bible study, prayer, worshiping the Creator/Redeemer. By beholding we become changed into His perfect character, loving others as He has loved us.

Lord, I desire today to worship you completely, not from fear but out of a response to the love you have shown me, each and every day. Help me to reflect that love to others today so that they will want to get to know you as their personal Savior and friend.

Listen to the Choir Of Christ Church St Laurence as they sing “O Worship the Lord in the Beauty of Holiness.”
