Go Where You Want

“In those days, while Mordecai sat within the king’s gate, two of the king’s eunuchs, Bigthan and Teresh, doorkeepers, became furious and sought to lay hands on King Ahasuerus. So the matter became known to Mordecai, who told Queen Esther, and Esther informed the king in Mordecai’s name.” Esther 2:21-22 (NKJV)

We aren’t told how long between the first feast where Esther was crowned Queen until the second feast mentioned in verse 19. The Bible does record that Esther was faithful to not disclose her relationship to Mordecai even after she became queen.

In this situation, King Ahasuerus’ life was saved because of the connection between Mordecai and Esther. Esther could have taken credit for telling Ahasuerus about the plot, but she gave credit to Mordecai. Indeed, it was Mordecai who had heard of the plot and got the information to Esther who then warned the king.

I may not know why I’m in a particular place at any time, but God knows why I’m there. He has a plan for each and every situation that will come up. He is all knowing and time seems to be a limitation that is here on earth, but not in the heavenlies. I must be faithful, like Esther, to do what I can to save lives, if that is what God calls me to do.
