” In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:6 (NKJV)
Notice in this text that God doesn’t command me to fix my paths! It promises that when I acknowledge HIM, that then He will direct my paths. I can’t accomplish what only God can! The more I try to work on fixing my paths, the more I will get frustrated because I can’t fix myself. Only God can! What I can do is to acknowledge God as my Creator and Redeemer …
- I can start each day by thanking God for my life and agreeing that He is the source of all creation.
- I can read my Bible and find verses talk about God’s creation. I can consider how to apply each verse to my life.
- I can choose to use the gifts and abilities God has given to me to serve others as a way to honor God who created me.
- I can choose to be thankful for the small details of my life and the world around me, recognizing that everything in this world is God’s design.
- I can take time to observe nature and marvel at its complexity, recognizing God as the source of all beauty.
- I can choose to have my actions and decisions match with my understanding of God’s will.
