“Therefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy and just and good.” Romans 7:12
We often hear quoted verses like Psalm 19:7-8 where the Law of God is described as perfect and trustworthy. Some people do not accept the Old Testament. But as noted in the verse above, Paul in writing to the Christians in Rome describes the Law of God as holy, just and good.
The Oxford Dictionary defines “holy” as “dedicated or consecrated to God or a religious purpose; sacred.” If God’s Law is consecrated to God – and God never changes (Malachi 3:6), then His Law never changes either. God’s Law is like a mirror to show me where my actions and thoughts either line up with God’s or don’t. It is up to me to take action based upon what I see in myself, looking at God’s Law.
